THE PROJECT

“Tools for Better Learning” Project, with number
2023-2-BG01-KA220-YOU-000177242. Co-funded by
the Erasmus + Programme, under KA2, “Youth” Sector

The “Tools for Better Learning” (TOBE) project, funded under the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU program, is a partnership initiative focused on creating a digital platform for non-formal learning. This platform will serve as a central resource for youth workers, educators, volunteers, and young people, especially those from diverse or marginalized backgrounds. The platform will host a comprehensive database of non-formal educational methods, tools, and games presented through video tutorials, manuals, kits, and interactive content. This accessible and user-friendly platform aims to simplify learning processes, foster digital skills, and promote inclusivity across Europe.

Make a difference in the process of learning

our mission

Non-formal education (NFE) plays a critical role in fostering life skills, social inclusion, and personal growth, yet it often lacks structure and accessibility. Many young people, especially those from rural or disadvantaged communities, do not have easy access to non-formal educational resources, particularly in digital formats. Additionally, the digital age has created new demands for skills and competencies that traditional education alone may not fully address. With the ongoing impacts of socio-political challenges and the economic downturns affecting youth employment across Southern and Eastern Europe, there is an urgent need for accessible, adaptable, and relevant learning tools that can bridge gaps and promote personal and professional development.

Improve Access to Non-Formal Learning Resources:

Establish an online platform offering easy access to a range of non-formal learning tools, games, and methods, catering to youth workers, volunteers, and educators.

Support Digital Skills Development

Equip young people with essential digital competencies, aligning with the EU’s Digital Education Action Plan (DEAP), making the learning experience accessible and relevant in today’s digital landscape.

Promote Social Inclusion and Cultural Understanding

Facilitate a learning environment where young people from multicultural and marginalized backgrounds can learn, share, and grow. This is especially pertinent for young Ukrainian migrants and other marginalized groups who may face social and educational barriers.

Create a Collaborative Learning Space

Develop an interactive and inclusive online community where youth workers and young learners can share resources, experiences, and insights, further strengthening the impact of non-formal education.

These are the key activities

Training for Youth Workers
Organize workshops and training sessions where youth workers learn about and demonstrate various non-formal education tools, games, and methods. These sessions will be recorded to create high-quality video content for the platform.
Digital Content Creation and Platform Development
Produce a range of instructional videos and digital manuals explaining each non-formal learning method in an easy-to-understand way, with visual and interactive elements. All content will be categorized by topic and skill type on the platform.
Community Engagement and Social Media Integration
Engage users through an online community where they can share their own content and experiences with non-formal education. The platform will be connected to social media channels like Instagram and YouTube to reach a wider audience and allow users to contribute their videos, which may be featured on the platform.
Dissemination and Promotion
Implement a strong promotion strategy across various platforms and networks to ensure maximum visibility and outreach. This includes using social media, partnerships with educational organizations, and community networks to reach young people and youth workers across Europe.

Expected Outcomes

01
A Comprehensive Digital Platform for Non-Formal Education
A user-friendly online platform that hosts a library of videos, manuals, and interactive tools for non-formal learning. This platform will be accessible to all users free of charge and will support learning across diverse topics and skill areas.

Enhanced Digital Literacy and Non-Formal Education Access
By increasing digital competencies and making non-formal education widely accessible, TOBE will support youth workers and learners in developing vital skills for employability, social participation, and personal growth.
03
Increased Social Cohesion and Inclusion
The project will foster an inclusive community where young people from different backgrounds can access learning opportunities, promoting social cohesion, intercultural understanding, and solidarity among youth in Europe.
04
Sustainable Impact and Long-Term Benefits:
The digital platform will serve as an ongoing resource for youth workers and learners, with potential for continued updates, community contributions, and partnerships. By creating this platform, TOBE will support a lasting legacy of accessible non-formal education resources across Europe.
